UNIQUE MULTI-KILL TRAP - Most traps work on rats applying pressure to a treadle plate; however, this rat trap instead requires the bait hook to be lifted before the trap is activated. This delayed action allows for more extended feeding and trust in the trap. In addition, this delay often results in fewer false triggers and often multi-kills, especially in areas of heavy infestations.
EASY TO USE - The trap is easy to use and requires no previous trapping experience. Initially, bait the central area with a suitable bait such as an apple for the bait hook and muesli as an attractant; set the trap by pulling on the bar, which will lock the trap into the firing position. Finally, place the trap within the activity area and monitor.
USE WITH CAUTION - This trap is extremely powerful and must be installed away from non-target animals. We recommend only placing within confined voids such as an attic or under floorboards. In addition, you must use a suitable box if used externally to prevent non-target access.
INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED - We include instructions with our trap that informs the user how to use the product correctly. We also have a technical video showing the user how to set the trap, and we also offer backup advice and support if required.

If I'm being honest I had no idea how well this would work. Definitely on the pricey side. Shame one of the traps was faulty as the metal part would not latch on as it was broken so hoping to get a partial refund. Size wise is a little big and would recommend being careful of when and where you set it up especially if you have children or pets. I went on the basis of others reviews and images and how well it was working for everyone that I had bought it. Set it outside etc. Some pictures shown of rats caught in the loft and mainly outside. Since we've had the extention we've had a fair amount of mice, which we have caught but as time has gone most recently this year in the last 3 months we've seen rats! Will definatly say this rat trap is very sturdy incredibly strong with the metal part which is what traps the rats and kills them in a matter of seconds. You do have to be carful of not setting the trap off and getting your fingers caught as it is a little hard to pull the metal part up. Normal rat traps would never have caught a rat of that size and would have escaped! Not sure how everyone disposes the rat after but we decided to get rid of the whole trap. Doubled gloved heavy duty bag and straight to the bin! As you can see the rat is maybe double the sizee of the trap but the main thing ia that the rat cannot escape! Yes, it is pricey but worth it.

This is a large rat trap with a really strong spring and steel kill bar. Unlike the common plastic "alligator teeth" traps which don't provide enough point force to kill a large rodent outright this trap delivers a powerful lethal blow. We had a very large brown rat living under our horse feed shed and this trap was successful in killing it on the first attempt! The rat had clearly died very quickly as no sign of a struggle.

A really good and sturdy trap which is perfect for the size of rat we were trying to catch. Most other traps are too small but this thing is so powerful that the rat didn't even know what hit him, a quick clean kill. Highly recommend this trap but definitely keep away from pets or children!

I had a rat under floorboards, I lifted a few boards and set up a camera and one of the plastic teeth traps, the rat was too quick and smart for it, once it had snapped once the rat left it alone. So I bought this and the benefit is that it snaps much faster and is a stronger metal arm, and also it allows the rat to build a false sense of security as it can eat off the trap for a while without setting it off, then as it commits more of its body into the range of the trap it finally goes off very fast. My only negatives are that it is quite big to get into a tight space (like under floorboards) and the trap is so strong it was a bit hard to free the dead rat. But when plastic traps fail, this is your next step.

I hate killing other living creatures but it had to be done unfortunately. I started by placing dried banana and nuts in the device (unset) overnight to give the rat confidence in the device. Then in the morning i set the trap with small pieces of peacon nuts and an ((upside down triangle cut of apple placed in the spike)) so loose food can go under it (to encourage lifting the arm). Got back from work 8 hours later and was shocked how fast it fell for the trap. Rat must have died instantly as the bar struck the neck and was completely flat so be careful because it is very strong.

These traps were put down as per instruction and the only thing caught was me getting a cold, they are good in principle but found that the rodents get the food to easily without setting trap off, in my opinion a waste of money

The media could not be loaded. I had a few uninvited guests under the deck and tried another traps and poison without too much of success. Ten I came across this model featured in some YouTube videos and so far I got 2 successful kills. Setting up is straight forward, just need to be careful and mind the fingers. I did drill two holes to secure the trap to wooden board. This prevents trap movement during snap, but it's optional. The trap is designed to trigger when bait is lifted, contrary to traditional pushing down models. This allows the victim to get false security as they do approach traps with caution. Especially after almost getting caught in another trap. Due to strong spring and design, the kill is almost instant. So far 10/10, will update this if any issues.
