My 1 year old cat brought us a live mouse for the first time a week ago, a few hours later I managed to usher it out of the house. The next day my cat brought us another live mouse (possibly the same one) this time it was trickier to catch and wouldn't be ushered out. We managed to confine it to our utility room but then found out it had gone under our cupboards through a little hole we didn't know was there. We had pulled out the washing machine and the tumble dryer and taken the kick boards off from below the cupboards and there was no sign of it. Then we realised it must be IN the wall. The reason I knew it was there and alive was that this particular mouse seemed to like to do an extraordinary amount of poo next to my cat's water bowl! I would clean it up and within an hour there would be another big pile of poo. I couldn't believe a mouse could poo so much! But I still couldn't catch it out and about and it appeared to like living in the wall. At this point I had moved my cats biscuits to another room as when we pulled out the washing machine and tumble dryer there was a pile of cat biscuits the mouse had moved under them. Mice apparently like cat biscuits. So, unable to catch this cheeky mouse, I decided we needed help and bought this pack of 2 traps. The mouse stayed overnight and even though my cat had access to the room, the mouse was still alive. The traps arrived and were very simple to set up. I started out with mini cheddars as bait (as one review had suggested) but after an hour and no luck I decided to change one trap's bait to peanut butter as the instructions suggest. We also moved one trap under the cupboards where it was darker and put it at the edge parallel to the wall. Within an hour or two the peanut butter trap had caught it. The mouse was completely fine in it and its tail was not trapped which I was worried about. I didn't have to put any extra weights in the trap to help catch the mouse either. It worked exactly as it should. I walked into the park by my house and released it. It was a little tricky to get the hang of opening the bait compartment to release the mouse, especially with the peanut butter bait being quite messy, but once I'd realised I needed to press in the end and slide it up it was easy. Cleaning the peanut butter out wasn't too bad, I just used fairy liquid and an old toothbrush and rinsed it off and once dry it was ready to go again - which happened to be very useful as although my cat did have a day off bringing mice in, he did bring us another. Yes, that's 3 mice in the space of 5 days, or possibly one mouse 3 times in 5 days! We were getting a bit fed up of all these mice so I didn't bother trying to catch it this time, we just put the traps down, baited with peanut butter and waited. At first we didn't have any luck with them in the room but once we put them under the cupboards behind the kick boards (which we had just lodged in place) and next to the wall we had caught the mouse within an hour. When the traps were under the cupboards but in the middle the mouse wouldn't go in - I know because I could see it next to the trap and it was infuriating! After having released that mouse, two days later I found mouse guts on the utility room floor so it appears my cat has now worked out how to kill mice and I may no longer need the traps but it's good to know they are there and that they work! It is now a few days later and no more mice for the time being. So in summary these work very well but make sure they are under a cupboard and next to a wall where you think the mouse is hiding and make sure you check regularly so you can release the mouse when you've caught it. I used 100% peanut butter as bait that I use as a dog treat usually and the mice seemed to like it! Also, if you have any other food sources near by like cat food then take it away so the mouse doesn't have an alternative food supply. I left my cat's water bowl out as it appeared to be regularly attracting the mouse to it and I thought if it is luring the mouse out then I had more chance of catching it. I know this goes on a bit but I also know how stressful it can be knowing there is a mouse on the loose in your house so thought any tips I can give will be helpful! UPDATE: It is over 2 years since I originally wrote this review and I have to say that these traps are worth the money time and time again. My cat is now 3 and has enjoyed bringing us many many live mice in the last few years. Now we don't really bother trying to catch them - just put a trap down and wait and usually within an hour - usually much quicker - the mouse has been caught and we can release it back outside. I have stopped using peanut butter as a bait as it is quite messy and now just use some cheese - it works just as well. I have lost count of how many mice these traps have caught for us but it's definitely way more than 10 and they haven't failed us once. I was reminded to update this review as I was greeted when I came back home last night to my daughter presenting me with a mouse in a trap that had just been caught and needed releasing - I had only been out for 2 hours and it appeared all this had happened just before I got home. Enzo the cat is very pleased with himself.

Five stars, because honestly, I'm not sure if I'm running a house or a feline-run bed and breakfast for small, furry guests. My cat, bless her tiny, sociopathic heart, seems to think our home is the local rodent hangout. Every morning, I'd wake up to the sound of frantic squeaking and the sight of her proudly parading a terrified mouse around like a tiny, twitching trophy. Enter the B-Free Humane Mouse Traps. These little plastic prisons of mercy have been a godsend. They're so sensitive, they practically catch a mouse thinking about entering my house. And they're so easy to use. I just bait them with a little peanut butter (because who can resist peanut butter? Not even tiny, terrified rodents) and set them near my cat's "delivery zones" (read: under the couch, behind the curtains, and that weird corner of the kitchen she insists is a "secret passage"). Within hours, click! I've got a guest. A quick trip to the garden, a gentle shake, and voila! Freedom for the little guy. My cat, meanwhile, stares at the empty trap with a look that clearly says, "Where did my playmate go?" The best part? These traps are washable. Because let's face it, mice aren't exactly known for their impeccable hygiene. And they're reusable, which is great because my cat's social life shows no sign of slowing down. So, if your cat is also a furry little ambassador for the local rodent population, I highly recommend these traps. They're humane, effective, and they've saved me from a full-blown mouse infestation (and the inevitable therapy sessions for my cat's abandoned "friends"). Now, if only they made a trap for cats who think they're running a rodent-themed petting zoo...

The product itself works great it will catch mice for you if you put some penut butter or bacon bait inside the compartment. Did manage to catch 2 mice in 24 hours , However the box is abit too small and there is a chance that the door can close on the mouses tail which did happen unfortunately and by the time we came back home the mouse was dead inside with red shot eyes from trying to escape while having its tail trapped on the door. Overall its still a good product and good price but not ''Humane'', They just need to make the trap abit longer to avoid the tail issue.
