Placed Cheshire cheese in this trap. Placed near a wall in the outbuilding and was careful not to touch with my hands as human scent can deter vermin from entering the trap. Caught two rats and 2 mice in the four nights that I put the trap out. Cleaned with antibacterial spray after each capture and left outside to dry each day. On the fifth night I heard the trap trigger at 10.45pm, a massive rat like scream and squealing and the trap being clattered against the wall. Next morning the trap had been triggered, it had moved from the original position it was set in and there was a pool of blood on the floor.....but no vermin. I can only speculate that this was a very big rat and the trap failed to hold it. Good trap, but ask yourself how big your rats are. If big then you may want to consider a more heavy duty trap.

Successful at culling mice but for the rats we had tunnelling over into our chicken run over winter these did nothing, they were large rats and had no interest in entering these traps so we did end up buying larger snap traps which did the job.

Mi serviva una trappola per topi grandi, ne avevo visto passare uno dove metto l'erba tagliata del prato. Sapevo dove metterla per un passaggio sotto la rete con residui di gusci ecc. In due giorni ne ho presi due davvero grossi. A qualche giorno di distanza uno molto più piccolo. La trappola è all'esterno e funziona davvero bene, molto comodo il 'rilascio' senza bisogno di toccare l'animale.

Wo andere Fallen versagen, weil die Nager sie erkennen und Ratten bekanntlich nicht doof sind, eignet sich Rat Reaper. Durch den kleinen runden Eingang trauen sich die Tiere hinein. Ich empfehle eine Köderkiste hinzu zu stellen, ebenfalls mit kleinem runden Eingang. Dort gehen sie rein, fressen den Köder und nichts passiert. Dadurch stellen kleine runde Eingänge keine Gefahr mehr dar - bis sie dann im Rat Reaper Instant Kill reinschauen. Die Falle ist sicher für Menschen und Haustiere, da der Mechanismus durch die Häuschenform nicht von außen ausgelöst werden kann. Sie tötet sekundenschnell, kein Leiden wie bei einfachen Mäusefallen. Nach gerade mal 18 Stunden der erste Fang! Wir haben es lange mit Lebendfallen versucht, doch die Plage auf der Terrasse und in der Hausisolation hat uns keine Wahl gelassen, die Tiere müssen weg! Daher klare Kaufempfehlung!
