The media could not be loaded. I found it difficult to set as there's literally a bar that you have to put under a hook which is the same width as the bar just looked at my trail camera that faces the trap and I saw it was sprang so I went to take care of the rat it caught and I was dumbfounded to see that the prisoner had escaped from captivity by barging it's way through wish I looked for a different trap (the video is the rat setting it off but the camera never caught it escaping

This trap is a good little trap, but it is incredibly sensitive due to how the trigger mechanism works, so sensitive that it was a struggle to set and put in place without tripping it. However, by filing a tiny amount from the bar that sits under the trigger hook, you can make it far, far better to use. It literally took 5 seconds to do, you could even use a nail file as the metal is soft. This in no way reduces the sensitivity of the trigger plate, it just avoids you accidentally setting the trap off when setting it, or by the wind triggering it as I've read in other reviews. All in all a great trap, after the tweak!

I (mistakenly) thought I had a rat infestation. Turns out it's mice. On a number of occasions the trap had sprung, the bait eaten. No captives. They'd bashed their way out. if this trap can't contain a mouse, there is no hope for a rat.

Easy to set up, did the job perfectly apart from one detail: the squirrel managed to undo the catch! Luckily, I had already wrapped the cage in a towel to calm the inhabitant during relocation. So beware: watch that catch!

Unfortunately the mice are more intelligent than the people that made this device. At the bottom of the trap door is a release mechanism for the user to open it once something has been caught. Mice and a Squirrel have managed to press this button and get out. A waste of money a I certainly do not recommend this trap. Unless
