I tried scented rat repellent balls before buying this . Absolute waste of money as the rats weren’t bothered one bit . Decided the only course of action was to buy the baited boxes. Within 2 weeks, all the bait had gone, as had the rats . Going to order more blocks to keep them away for good . Simple to use , pre baited so you don’t even have to touch the blocks .

I noticed a ‘mangy’ looking rat start appearing around my bird tables & in the garden. I ordered 2 of these traps & placed them strategically where I’d seen the rat on a daily basis. Within 48hrs, there was no sign of the rat, so out of curiosity I opened both traps up, which were placed some distance apart. Both traps had signs that the rat had started gnawing at the food/poison. It is now 2 weeks later & there is no sign of the rat & there has been no more noticeable gnawing of the food/poison, so looks like it’s job done! I honestly didn’t expect it to be that effective, so quickly, but I am certainly 100% pleased with the outcome. Definitely recommend this very effective product.

Sorry but I have placed these in situ and they have been out in the garden where ratty was seen for 2 weeks. I was very positive about this as it was robust, easy to set up and seemed safe for other creatures . Previous reviews were favorable and, although I dislike the idea of killing anything, my neighbors and I need to be rid of this vermin. We tried a humane trap and caught one but even though released far away, we still have rats (good navigator or more rats?). Sadly the problem is still there. The box hasn't made any difference yet. Bait inside has hardly been touched and Ratty is still very active.

I have used traps before with all the pleasure of setting them up and delicately moving them into position before they snap shut just as you are setting them down. Sometimes you are lucky enough not to experience what the unlucky rodent is destined for, but if not you can practice your Anglo Saxon. All this before the fun of trying to find a suitable bait that won't weigh too heavily and therefore the trap is on a knife edge of going off before the rodent has got near enough to be in the line of fire. I got two of these to try and placed one in the loft and one outside as it appears we have a number of unwanted visitors this winter. For a couple of days nothing happened and the bait was as pristine as when I put it down. About a week later I checked again to discover that both boxes had been visited with the bait chewed making the hexagonal blocks round.
