I was looking for new bait boxes and came across these - I like the idea of having see through top - the snap trap comes with yellow top on it to help see if it has gone off which is a really good add-on - it has caught several mice so far and one rat the only minor down side is it is light (however all these kinds of boxes are) and a few times they have been moved out of position, and the locking can be a pain have to keep finding the key to open however in all a really good bit of kit

Dislike the mice do not always set it off so the bait is gone but the trap is not triggered. Like - it works and as it is enclosed it stops the birds, etc.. From being caught which I have had happen with other traps. You can easily see when the trap is triggered.

Although this product may be able to be made to work - the instruction video (a QR Code on the underside of the outer box lid - not explained in the brief marketing leaflet) is a very poor demonstration of the function of this product, and how to use it. First there are meaty morsels ( with hole on) which the demonstrator slides on to a a straight bar above the spring trap - what the hell are they? He doesnโt show how they fit over the trap. Nor does he show where the bait has to go. One suspects that he is more interested in marketing addition products than making it clear how to load and use the trap bait. Yet to have a result!

After seeing this product at the Ideal Home Show a month or so ago, I had a chat with one of the guys from DIY Pest, as I suspected I had an issue with some kind of rodent in my garden shed. In the meantime, my partner bought some useless traps from a local DIY shop and had no luck catching the culprit... we will call him Roland! He had taken to dining in my shed. For starters, he had grass seed (which surprised me, as I wouldn't have thought of grass seed as something that rats would eat). For his main course, he was eating some long-forgotten bird seed! Enough was enough, so I found the flyer that DIY Pest had given me at the show and placed an order for rat traps via Amazon. I contacted DIY Pest for some advice, and they gave me some pointers on how to best set the trap. They also suggested mixing some of the bird and grass seed with peanut butter and then putting it on the trap. I set the traps in the shed and waited a day or two before checking them. Lo and behold, I had caught not only Roland but also his girlfriend, Rowena. I have since worked out how they were getting into the shed and have hopefully blocked the hole. In summary, the product was very easy to use, high quality, and great value. The customer service was excellent. If I am unlucky enough to require any other pest-related products, I would definitely contact DIY Pest.
